Alice Cox Griffin

Alice Cox Griffin, 60, of Danville, VA passed away March 31, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Mary Brenner Dean, wife of the late Steven James Griffin, Sr. and mother of the late Jeffrey R. Griffin. She is survived by her daughter, Tina Hodnett of Leesburg, NC; her sons, Steven Griffin, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL and Phillip Griffin of Danville, VA; 3 grandchildren and extended family and friends. Alice graduated from National Business College in Danville and worked for many years for the Danville Register and Bee. She enjoyed reading, watching crime shows and playing Sodoku. She will always be remembered for the love she had for her family and for her Cherry Yum Yum. A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
