Bennie Adrian Newcomb Jr., of Meherrin, VA, was joyfully reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Cheryl Moorefield Newcomb; his mother, Peggy Ann Goodrich Newcomb; and his brother, Robert Glen “Robbie” Newcomb. Born Easter day, April 13, 1963 and therefore was known affectionately as “Bunny”, Bennie graduated from Central High School and honorably served his country in the United States Army for four years, a reflection of his deep sense of duty and commitment to others.
Bennie dedicated 34 years of his professional life to Kenbridge Construction Company, retiring as a superintendent. His strong work ethic, leadership, and integrity left a lasting impact on those who worked alongside him.
Above all else, Bennie loved his family. He is survived by his sons: Benji Newcomb and his significant other, Tina; Josh Newcomb and his significant other, Trinity; and Jacob Newcomb and his wife, Megan Newcomb. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Annabella, Brayden, Charlotte, Maddox, Rowan, Phaelyn, and Ryleigh, each of whom brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his father, Bennie Newcomb Sr; sister, Teresa Newcomb, and brother Gary Newcomb and wife Terri.
In his free time, Bennie found peace in fishing, beekeeping, keeping a nice yard and just being outdoors. Those who knew him will remember him as a selfless, honorable, and loving man, who always put others before himself and led with quiet strength and compassion.
Bennie’s legacy lives on through his family and all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
