Charles Donald Neblett, Jr

Charles Donald “Donnie” Neblett, Jr., age 73, of Kenbridge, VA passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025. He was the son of Charles Donald Neblett, Sr. and Dorothy Sahnow Neblett, the grandson of Annie Davis Fleming and Susie Hite Neblett. Donnie served in the Virginia Army National Guard, owned and operated Neblett Carpet Cleaning and completed his working years as town manager for Kenbridge. He loved his family, his animals, fishing, working on his yard, listening to beach music, and watching Duke basketball. He never met a stranger. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Susan Jeter Neblett, his daughter, Elizabeth Neblett Schneiderman (Chris), his son, Charles William Neblett and two grandchildren, Miles Neblett Schneiderman and Augusta Lillian Schneiderman. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Southside SPCA (designate Ruff’n It), 797 Starlight Lane, Kenbridge, VA 23944 or Duke Children’s Healthcenter, gifts.duke.edu {Duke Childrens} are suggested. The family will receive friends at the home (213 E 4th Avenue, Kenbridge) throughout the week. A celebration of life for Donnie will be held on Sunday, June 22, at 2:00 pm at The Episcopal Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew, 512 South Broad Street, Kenbridge, with burial immediately following in Kenbridge Heights Cemetery.
