David Robert Love, Jr.

David Robert “Bobby” Love, Jr. 84, of Hopewell, VA joined his family in Heaven on August 24, 2026. He was the son of the late David Robert Love and Virginia Slayton Love and brother of the late Edward Hoge Love and William Thomas Love.

He is survived by his sister Virginia Rebecca Love; his nephews, Ken Love (Joan), Wilson Love, and Slayton Love; two nieces, Georgia V. Love (James) and Sally Love.

Bobby grew up in Victoria, VA and graduated from Victoria High School. He honorably served our country in the US Army. Upon returning home he went to work at the Defense General Supply Center (Bellwood) retiring many years later as a forklift operator.

He enjoyed the outdoors and keeping a nice yard. He loved to help others and he cherished spending time with his family.

He was a member and deacon of Victoria Christian Church, 2100 Lee Avenue, Victoria, VA where the family will receive friends Friday, August 28, 2026 from 10am until start of services at 11. Interment to follow at the Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria.
