Edwin Kyle Carter, Jr.

Edwin Kyle “Ed” Carter, Jr., 80, of Kenbridge, VA passed away August 11, 2026. He was the son of the late Edwin K. “Bunk” Carter, Sr. and Norma Rice Carter of Vinton, VA.

He is survived by his husband, T. Thomas Terrell; his sisters, Susan Holmes and Lisa Lane; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Ed graduated from William Byrd High School in Vinton and attended community college.

He was a talented portrait artist and worked many years with his father in taxidermy and later on his own.

He enjoyed movies and cooking and he dearly loved his dachshunds.
