Edward Allen Almand, 92, a lifelong resident of Dundas, Virginia joined his family and friends in Heaven on July 4, 2026. He was the son of the late Herbert Allen Almand and Josephine Hawthorne Almand; and brother of the late Iverson Almand, Charlie Almand and Mary Ewell.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Elsie Moore Almand; his son, Ricky Almand; daughter, Donna Justis (Jay); grandchildren, Taylor Beasley (Thad), Katie Aguilar (Gabe) and Wes Justis (Hunter); four great-grandchildren, Hudgens, Adaline, Jennings and Paxton.

Edward graduated from Fork Union Military Academy where he played baseball. He honorably served our country in the US Army.

He was a retired tobacco farmer, a member of the Dundas Hunt Club and a member of the Perseverance Christian Church. There he played bass guitar in the Praise Group.

Edward enjoyed hunting, forestry, gardening, coin collecting and playing his guitar.

A celebration of his life will be held 2PM Monday, July 13, 2026 at the Perseverance Christian Church, 2703 Gigg Road, Kenbridge, Va. 23944.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Hickory Hill Retirement Community and the James River Hospice for all the love and care given to Edward.
