Ingram, Elizabeth (Libby) Love, age 95, passed away in her home on May 14, 2024, surrounded by her daughters. Libby was born October 3, 1928, in Victoria VA, the daughter of Edward Jeffress and Anne Loveline Love. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ian Rayson Ingram and her siblings, Robert Love, Anne Roberson, Garland Love, Dell Eley, Doug Love, and Marjorie Bragg. She is survived by four children Phyllis Long (Mark), Hope Kestle (Chris), Loreen Long (Craig) and Kenneth Ingram (Emma), eight grandchildren Brandon (Sarah), Stephanie (Brian), Rachelle (Richard), Elizabeth, Christopher (Emily), Stuart (Kathryn), Victoria (Tim), Emmalia and great-grandchildren, Paisley, Connor, Avery, Lucy and another on the way in January.

Libby graduated from Victoria High School where she excelled in school, played basketball and was a cheerleader.

She moved to Richmond and spent her career as a laboratory technologist for several hospitals and private practices, retiring from Pediatric Associates.

She and Ken were married on June 2, 1956, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Richmond.

She was an avid gardener of both vegetable gardens and her flowers. Her yard was filled with plants she transplanted from her homeplace in Victoria. She loved the outdoors, even in her later years you could find her outside trimming hedges, picking up sticks, and admiring her flowers. Her yard was her sanctuary finding peace and comfort with dirt on her hands.

She was a long-time member of Colonial Place Christian Church until it’s closing a few years ago. She served the church in various roles including a Sunday school teacher, vacation bible school teacher, and deacon. She was also a Girl Scout Brownie Troop leader for her girl’s troop.

A private Celebration of Life service, June 29, 2024.
