Everette Benjamin Moody, Sr.

Everette Benjamin “E.B.” Moody, Sr., 95, of South Hill Virginia received his heavenly reward on June 30, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Phyllis Ragsdale Moody and was one of 9 children born to the late John Wesley Moody and Margaret Kinker Moody. He is survived by his son, E.B. “Bucky” Moody, Jr.; his daughters, Linda Muse (Bill) and Patricia Moody; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Rose M. Ferguson and extended family and friends. E.B. grew up in South Hill, Virginia and graduated from South Hill High School. He retired as purchasing agent for Virginia Homes. He was a past member of Oakland Christian Church and a long-time member of Ledbetter Christian Church. He loved the Lord and the way he lived his life personified it. He enjoyed being outside from cutting grass to raising a garden that he loved to share with others. The family will receive friends at the Clarke Funeral Home, Kenbridge, on Monday, July 7, 2025 from 10am until start of services at 11am. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park, LaCrosse, Virginia. Immediately following the burial please join the family at Kahills Restaurant for light refreshments.
