James Edward Edmonds

James Edward Edmonds, Sr., 84, of Dundas, VA. joined his family and friends in Heaven on July 16, 2026. He was one of twelve children born to Luther Watkins Edmonds and Gladys Louise Edmonds.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Gayle Crafton Edmonds; his sons, James “Jimmy” Edmonds, Jr. (Rhonda) of Bumpass, VA., Ronald “Ronnie” Edmonds (Tina) of Friendsville, MD; his daughter, Katherine Manfred (Doug) of Chester, VA; step-daughter, Amanda J. Queensberry (Steven) of Mechanicsville; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren; three sisters, Dare Williams (Charles) of Lawrenceville VA, Gladys Nagle (Richard) of Pine Grove PA, and Faye Hudson (Earl) of Chase City, VA.; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

James was a retired shipping supervisor for Lea Industries in Kenbridge. He was a member of Perseverance Christian Church and Dundas Hunt Club and a former member of the Dundas Ruritans.

James enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Please join us Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at the Clarke Funeral Home (110 E. Fifth Avenue, Kenbridge, VA) to celebrate James’ life. The family will receive friends from 6PM until the start of services at 7PM.
