Lewis Gravatt Tucker

Lewis Gravatt Tucker, 69, of Kenbridge, VA joined his family in Heaven on July 14, 2025. He was the son of the late Edward Bolling “Ned” Tucker, Sr. and Nancy Gravatt Tucker. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lisa Whitehurst Tucker; his children, Lindy Fimon (Matt) of Warfield, Karlie Tucker of Kenbridge and Lewis “Lew” Tucker, Jr, (Sarah) of Kingsport, TN; he was “Pop” to Mattie, Poppy and Danny. Also surviving is his brother, Bolling “Bo” Tucker, Jr. (Barbara) of Warrenton; his sister, Jane Wells of South Hill; extended family and many friends. Lewis grew up in Kenbridge, graduated from Central High School in 1973 and earned his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Arts from Virginia Tech in 1977. He was dedicated to the Lord, his family, and to his work. After college he started cattle farming full-time. He loved to be outdoors on any piece of heavy equipment that he recently got running, camping at the lake, or out on the boat, teaching someone to water ski. He will always be remembered for his giving nature, his long-winded storytelling, and for his ability to fix anything. He was a lifelong member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, 118 Church Street, Kenbridge, VA, where funeral services will be held 2PM Sunday, July 20, 2025. Burial to follow at 4PM at Concord Presbyterian Church, 30 Harpers Bridge Road, Rawlings, VA 23876. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 5:30 to 7PM at the Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge and at all other times at 2323 Pleasant Hill Lane, Kenbridge, VA 23944.
