Marjorie Worsham Newcomb

Marjorie Worsham Newcomb, 91, of Rehoboth, Va. went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Nellie Worsham; her husband Joseph Lynnwood Newcomb, a great-grandson, Kevin Michael Ashworth, Jr and a son-in-law, Clarence Edward “Peter” Perkins. She is survived by her children, Eddie Newcomb (Doris) of Appomattox, Peggy Ashworth (Ray) of Victoria, Connie Perkins of Dundas and Bobby Newcomb (Sandra) of Victoria. She was Granny to Kenny Newcomb (Amy), Cindy Allen, Jeremy Ashworth (Sara), Adam Ashworth (Krystal), Kevin Ashworth (Stella), Matt Perkins, Brad Perkins (Cara), Mackenzie Newcomb and Vince Nichols; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Marjorie enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening and cannning and freezing vegetables. She loved to do for others and dearly loved to spend time with her family. She was a devoted member of Cool Springs Christian Church where the family will receive friends Sunday, August 27, 2023 from 2PM until start of services at 3PM.
