Melissa Ann Seamster

November 23, 1973 — February 7, 2026

Powhatan

Melissa Ann Seamster, 53, of Powhatan, Virginia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 7, 2026. She was born to Judy Faye Lipscomb of Powhatan, Virginia, and the late Edward Lee Painter. Melissa is survived by her devoted husband, Darrel Alan Seamster; her daughter, Jessica Dawn Mulchi (33); and her son, Cody Travis Mulchi (31). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Avaleigh Capri Boykin (10), Ayren Jaye Sylas Boykin (6), and Sebastian Link Mulchi (10), who were the greatest joy of her life. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her stepfather, Rawdin Dale Lipscomb; her siblings, Edward Ferrin Painter and his wife, Ashley Julian Painter, and Rawdin Dustin Lipscomb. She was also loved and cherished by many devoted friends, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Melissa grew up in Victoria, Virginia. She enjoyed camping with her grandmother, Jeanette Jackson, and had a deep love for music and singing. She had a heart that was bigger than words could ever express. Melissa was dependable, caring, and kind — always putting the happiness of others before her own. She was the kind of person who could light up a room the moment she walked through the door. Her impact on the lives she touched will never be forgotten. Though she is gone from our sight, she will forever remain in our hearts. Memorial services will be held at 5PM on Friday, February 20, 2026 at the Clarke Funeral Home, 110 E. Fifth Avenue, Kenbridge, Va. 23944.
