Michael Edward Rawlings

Michael Edward “Mike” Rawlings, 71, of North Chesterfield, Va and formerly of Blackstone, VA joined his family in Heaven on April 1, 2026. He was the son of the late Walter E. Rawlings, Sr. and Martha Anne McDowell Rawlings and cousin of the late Bobby McDowell.

He is survived by his fianceé, Vivian M. Bergolc; his brother, Walter E. “Gino” Rawlings, Jr. (Karen); his niece, Stacye Trout (Cal) and great-nieces, Ava and Genevie; extended family and many friends. Mike grew up in Blackstone and graduated from Kenston Forest High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Madison College (now JMU) in Harrisonburg. He was a retired banker and mortgage lender. 

He enjoyed golfing, Duke basketball and returning to JMU to watch and support the athletics. He will always be remembered as a fun and loving son, brother and friend.

 Graveside services will be held 11AM Saturday, April 18, 2026 at the Perseverance Christian Church Cemetery, 2703 Gigg Road, Kenbridge, VA. 23944.
