Oscar Wallace Brown,88, of Chester, Virginia joined his family and friends in heaven on April 20, 2026. He was the husband of the late Constance Wooldridge “Connie” Brown; father of the late, Roderick C. “Roddy” Brown; son of the late, Irvin Preston Brown and Ada Baisey Brown; and brother of the late, Bernard P. Brown, Dorothy B. Tanner, Irvin G. “Pop” Brown, Mary B. Tanner, Mildred B. “Peggy” Gee, Thomas Albert “Tib” Brown and Alford Roby Brown.

He is survived by his daughter Debbie Brown Simmons; granddaughters, Kendal Davis and Logan Davis and grandson, Daniel Brown. Wallace grew up in Lunenburg County. He graduated from Victoria High School and retired from CSX Railroad as a freight conductor. He enjoyed hunting and keeping a nice yard and home.

He will always be remembered for his honesty, his easy smile and the love he had for his family and friends. He was a member of Buck Skin Hunt Club and Monument Heights Baptist Church, 5716 Monument Avenue, Richmond Va. where the family will receive friends on Friday, April 24, 2026 from 6 to 7:30 PM. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the Kenbridge Heights Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial donations to Monument Heights Baptist Church, 5716 Monument Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23226.
