Royston Herbert Barnes, Sr.

Royston Herbert “Roy” Barnes, Sr., 81, of Victoria, Va. joined his family in Heaven on October 10, 2024. He was the father of the late Royston H. Barnes, Jr. and brother of the late Gordon Barnes, Gilbert Barnes and Stanley Barnes. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Paulette Barnes; his daughters, Julie Yochim and Dolores Brown; grandchildren, Justin Barnes, Andrew Barnes, Ivona Bell, Anna Hood, Izabell Brown, Courtney Yochim and James Yochim; great-grandchildren, Sophia Barnes, Jake Barnes and Oliver Barnes. Roy spent much of his life in Asbury Park, New Jersey. He honorably served our country in the U.S. Army and was a retired electrician. He enjoyed watching television, word search books and spending time with his family. Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
