Victoria B. Bailey, of Farmville, VA., crossed the Rainbow Bridge on March 6, 2024 to be with her beloved pets; her husband, Walter Tkach and her parents, WW II Navy Veteran, Peter Jaskolowski and Josephine Barbara Jaskolowski. Vicki is survived by her loving brother, Peter Jaskolowski (Barbara) of Mt. Laurel, NJ, her children and grandchildren, daughter and caregiver, Stephanie Orem of Farmville, VA, mother of Todd Jones; son, Christopher Tkach, PHD (Jessi) of Spring Texas and daughter, Marine Veteran, Heidi Lane (Curtis) of Beaufort, SC, parents of “CJ” Curtis Lane also of Beaufort, SC and Destiny Stemen (Joe) of Charlotte, NC, parents of precious great-granddaughters Caroline and Olivia. She also leaves behind many friends she enjoyed living life with, and her devoted loving longtime caregiver turned family Theresa Brown of Cumberland, VA. Born in Clifton, NJ she vacationed at the Jersey Shore where she met her beloved late husband, Walter and started a family. They later moved to Island Heights, NJ where she raised her children before moving to Virginia in 1991. Here she followed her dream and passion for animals and became a certified Vet Tech while working at the Southside SPCA in Meherrin and then with DR. Swan at Simplicity Animal Hospital in Lunenburg County. She enjoyed gardening, houseplants, rescuing animals, puzzles and milk shakes. Her history holds stories of anti-war and feminist activism, support for our troops, and last participated in a protest for the trucking industry with Stand as One Virginia in March of 2019. She will be sorely missed. “The Lord Bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace. Memorial services will be held at 6PM on Monday, March 11, 2024 at the Staples Funeral Home, 2300 Nottoway Boulevard, Victoria, VA. 23974.
