Virginia Sharpe Wallace

Virginia Sharpe "Dare" Wallace, 86, of Kenbridge, Va. joined her family in Heaven on June 29, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom Dill Wallace; a grandson, Terry Lynn "TJ" Wallace; her parents, Arthur Warren Sharpe and Virginia Wilkins Sharpe and her brother Edward Warren Sharpe.

She is survived by her children; Terry Wallace (Dorothy) of Keysville, Mike Wallace (Holly) of Rice, Va and Jennifer W. Hunt ( Philip) of Amelia; grandsons, Brian Wallace (Leslie), Nate Hunt and Matthew Hunt; 5 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson; two sisters, Lucille Long (Johnny) of Kenbridge and Judy Singer of Maine and a host of nieces and nephews.

Dare grew up in Victoria and graduated from Victoria High School. She retired from Commonwealth Propane after 20 years in the office. After retirement she helped at Clarke and Staples Funeral Homes as a greeter and funeral attendant.

She was a member of the Kenbridge Christian Church.

She always wanted others to feel special by sending cards for birthdays, holidays, special occasions, and times of sickness. It was important for her to let others know that she was thinking of them and she cared for them.

She will always be remembered for the love she had for her family. She will be dearly missed.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 6 to 7:30 at the Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge where funeral services will be held 11am Friday, July 3, 2026. Interment to follow at the Kenbridge Heights Cemetery.
