MARTIN Sr., William Alexander (Butch/Bill), 80, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 7, 2024. He was preceded in death by his mother Nellie Martin, father William Edward Martin, and brother James Edward Martin. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Merle Martin, son Alex Martin (Aimee), daughters Heather Wright and Lynsey Martin; three grandchildren, Alexander and Victoria Martin and Asher Wright, as well as extended family and many friends. Bill graduated from Victoria High School in 1962, attended Virginia Tech, and was a Vietnam War veteran. Throughout his career he worked at Avec Electronics, was Vice President of Professional Products, and retired as President of Digital Video Group, Inc. His passion was his family and traveling with his wife Merle; one of their favorite places to travel together was Bermuda with friends. The family invites you to make donations to The American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation. Services will be held privately.
